Hello to all of you lovelies! I'm extremely excited to discuss The Newberry, Chicago's Independent Research Library's upcoming writing workshops. It is an amazing opportunity to get involved in Chicago's literary community. The sessions guide participants through real writing exercises, which can help inspire future projects.

Beyond Real Life: A Beginner’s Guide to Writing Fiction
Led by: Linda Miller
In this eight session workshop, writers of all levels who want to start writing short fiction. This class will discuss how real-life experiences can fuel fiction and how to let your imagination roam. Participants will develop ideas and share writing in class.

Writing Family Stories: A Legacy Project

This workshop is one session, and is for people who want to write about the important people, places, and events in their and their family’s lives.

Oh, the Possibilities: Writing for Children in Today's Publishing World
Led by: Esther Hershenhorn
In this one session workshop, students will be introduced to today’s world of children’s books and proven tactics to make navigating the process easier.
